Christ Memorial Episcopal Church
Danville, Pennsylvania
Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville, Pennsylvania, provides rent-free space to the "Saturday Trains" exhibit in Danville, Pennsylvania. Clergy, public officials, Masons and parishioners laid its cornerstone on October 23, 1828. "Saturday Trains" is a free public program that allows children and adults to run model trains. This organization has four tracks and three trains (all freights). Its O-gauge layout consists of two 18-foot loops of track, with siding and passing loops, and an adjoining figure-eight track on a 4x8 platform. With adult guidance, over the past two years, children have built a large layout, screwing the boards together, painting them, laying the tracks, building the mountains and tunnels, and installing minature Christmas lights in the houses.
