| The Flowery Branch Depot was built in 1890 and was renovated in 2000 to bring it back to its original structure. The Depot served as an active depot from 1890 through the late 1960's, but is now a focal point of this great community and an icon that helps bring out the charm and loveability of this city. Once an endangered building, the Depot has now been transformed into a historic treasure. The Depot is located on Railroad Avenue and houses a wonderful museum, as well as serves as a gathering place for weddings, receptions, and community meetings. Although hundreds each year come to tour the Depot and the Historic Caboose, literally thousands pass through the Depot each year as a part of the many family events held at the Depot and the Depot Park. |
