Adopt a Train Program
The model trains pictured on this web site are being offered for adoption to existing railway depots and train museums throughout the United States and Canada. Serious inquiries from non-profit entities will be entertained. It is the Foundation’s wish to donate these wonderful replicas to railroad stations and museums located near the rail lines where these trains once ran.

There has been a nationwide effort to restore historic railroad stations for purposes other than to service arriving and departing trains. The Foundation's purpose is to continue the education about and romance of railroading.
These stations and museums, mostly located in the hearts of the cities they served, have been transformed into cultural and entertainment centers as part of revitalizing downtown areas. Examples can be seen in New York City (Grand Central Terminal), Independence, MO, Mankato, MN, Durand, MI, Flowery, GA, Milford, CT, and Union Stations in Cincinnati, St. Louis, Kansas City, to mention a few.
The Wilkinson Foundation owns approximately 275 Famous Trains at the present time, representing semi--scale and scale models of notable real trains that were glamorous flagships of the great American railway systems. Trains are being added as they become available.
